Born by the sea, Nick Burrin has been designing and creating New England style houses and white interiors for the last 20 years. In the year 2001 he turned his attention to designing furniture and so New England Lifestyle began. Inspired by sea side clapper board houses, born from a love affair of all things white and New England.
All the furniture is designed by Nick and hand made exclusively for New England Lifestyle. The New England interior look is created by using white emulsion walls and wooden flooring; oak, maple, beech or just simple white painted floorboards, adding a splash of colour through curtains, cushions and throws. This back drop combined with the furniture creates a timeless, stylish environment inviting light tranquility and space.
“I love white because it never goes out of fashion. It liberates you from following fashion trends and makes your house feel like an eternal holiday home. I also like counting the different shades of white. In my living room, white walls, bleached white flooring, off white architrave and skirting, white sofa fabric and white furniture, all slightly different shades of white. If you’ve never lived in a white environment I always suggest starting with one room – perhaps a bedroom. Once you’ve tried one room, the whole house will follow! White interiors have a very calming effect and help you relax and feel at home.”
Our showroom is located in Ford, near Arundel in West Sussex not far from the beach where Nick was brought up. One of the great things about the business is the fact that we do hold a large amount of stock, enabling the majority of deliveries into the London area within 2-3 weeks.

Q: Are any of your furniture items in stock?
A: We aim to keep the majority of our furniture in stock for delivery within two to six weeks. If items are not in stock, delivery will be within six to ten weeks.
Q: What is the white furniture made of?
A: The white furniture is made of lime wood, which is similar to maple. It is light in colour and has few knots or resin in it. The tongue and groove panels, backs of the furniture and drawer bottoms are made of MDF. Our white dining chairs are made of solid beech.
Q: What is the finish on the products?
A: The white furniture is spray painted with a brilliant white, water based paint and has a satin finish. The oak furniture is finished with a water based satin varnish.

Q: Do you sell your products in any other colours?
A: Only white and oak.

A: White frees you from following decorating trends. It’s timeless and it creates light and space.
Q: How do I care for/clean the furniture?
A: White and oak furniture can be cleaned with a damp cloth and wiped dry. We do not recommend the use of any chemical cleaning products. Any spills should be wiped away immediately, please use coasters to protect your furniture.
