White furniture 'can tie different styles together'

Those looking to tie a number of different styles of sofas, seats or tables together should invest in white furniture, as this colour can work to unify these items, an expert asserts.
Terri Sapienza, writing for the Salisbury Post, suggests that New England white furniture items of this type can help those with vintage pieces match these with the rest of their home.
She advises using the same colour scheme across the entirety of the home, with the bedroom as an exception, as this will create the impression of extra space.
"Consider longevity: If pieces can be used in a future home, then direct effort and money toward them," she recommends.
Ms Sapienza advises people to consider double functions when choosing New England white furniture, as white sofas can be used as beds and white bedside tables can also be used as storage and desk space.
Last month, KansasCity.com recommended homeowners to redecorate in order to incorporate New England style white furniture, as this can complement these items.
