People considering investing in white furniture should combine the pale pieces with bright, vibrant Christmas decor, according to one expert who said yuletide interiors need to be fun and eye-catching.
Designer Melissa Birdsong said that adventurous homeowners could base their decorations around the traditional style but add a twist.
"The warmth of classic reds and golds will dominate holiday decor in styles ranging from the simplest handmade decorations to more sophisticated ornaments of satin, crystal, and gilt," she said.
Revisiting traditions and memories from the past is another theme which homeowners could go for when planning their interior designs this yuletide, according to the expert.
Ms Birdsong also advised people to have a go at customising old decorations by painting them or adding accessories to make them more interesting.
Freshome.com recently reported that using white furniture such as white cabinets in a kitchen can help to create a sleek and contemporary look.
