White table helps to create distinctive roomPeople who have limited space to work with when creating an interior design plan could follow the lead of one designer who invested in a white table which has become a centrepiece of her living room.

Neisha Crosland invited the Observer into her abode, which is located in an industrial estate in Battersea and by her own admission is not much to look at.

But the fabric specialist uses a white table which is a constant feature of the room, while the rest of the decor changes through the year as she works on new pieces.

"I work in all the rooms, but the design process begins and ends in here. It looks different at different times of the year: when I'm just starting on a new collection, the walls are empty and I bring images in from the pinboard next door," she told the newspaper.

CupcakesAndCashmere.com recently stated that using a white bedside table is a good way to make a room appear lighter.
